This policy explains what information ExtendLink (extendlink.com) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect what we need to run the service and to understand how it's used, and nothing more.
Information you give us
When you create an account we store your name, email address and a securely hashed password. Anything you create in your account, such as pages, links, settings and uploaded files, is stored so we can provide the service to you.
People who click short links
When someone clicks a short link or scans a QR code created here, we record limited, non-identifying details such as country, device type, browser, operating system and the referring website so the link owner can see how it performs. We don't sell this data or use it to build advertising profiles.
Analytics and cookies
We use Matomo, which we host ourselves, to count visits without cookies. On our own marketing pages we also use Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager to understand how visitors use the site. These tools set cookies and collect information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser. Advertising storage is turned off by default. We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Server logs and security
Our servers record basic request data, including IP address, time, page requested and browser type, to keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems. Logs are kept for a limited time.
Payments
Paid plans are billed through Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never touch our servers. We keep a Stripe customer ID, your plan and its renewal date so we can show your billing status.
Emails
We send account emails such as password resets and important service notices. If you contact us, we use your details only to reply.
Sharing
We don't sell your personal information. We share data only with providers that help us run the service (such as hosting, payments and analytics), when the law requires it, or to protect our users and the service.
Your choices
You can update your account details at any time and delete your account from your account settings. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. Email us to make a request.
Children
The service isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service changes. The date above shows the latest revision.
